Google Chrome at JAOO – V8 and GUI
By Therese Hansen | September 9, 2008
The hottest topic around these days is the beta launch of a new browser; Google Chrome. Some like it, some doesn’t. It’s free, open source, focuses on stability and speed, the GUI is clean and simple and the Javascript Engine V8 is made in Denmark.
The first technical presentation of Google Chrome at a conference outside Google will be at JAOO. First Ben Goodger will present the thoughts behind the GUI in a talk called “Google Chrome – the invisible browser” and then Lars Bak will take us behind the scenes of the Javascript Engine V8 in his Tuesday morning keynote.
Don’t miss it.

Just downloaded Chrome, and it looks awesome. Not as smooth as Firefox, but it can be expected as its only in its beta stage. With the release of the Google internet browser I wouldn’t be surprised if Google released their own operating system within twenty years, and become as big as Microsoft.
